Often criticized, maligned and ridiculed, few can deny the tremendous impact the early missionaries had on this region and the country as a whole. Not least in the important field of education, health, job creation, moral renewal and crime, brotherly love - all issues of critical concern to our country today.

1-Day:
This missionary history tour departs from King Wm's Town we head for the Pirie Mission and the area where the Rev Joh van der Kemp undertook the first ground breaking work among Africans in the Eastern Cape some 204 years ago.. We visit St Mathews, Burnshill, Ann Shaw, Knapp's Hope, Lovedale, Chumie, D'Urban and Wesleyville Missions.

Some only have lonely graves as a reminder but all played an important role in the spread of the gospel. Back in KWT we visit the old Buffalo Mission church, Brownle's house and grave and time permitting we will also visit the local Missionary Museum.
