Along with Grahamstown this is one of the most interesting towns in the region to visit. It is renowned for its beautiful stone buildings, interesting museums, and a famous son in the freedom struggle - Steve Biko
Half Day:
Named after the reigning British monarch at the time, William1V, King William's Town / Bisho is in the heart of the Eastern Cape at the junction of many roads. As Bulpin in his book 'Discovering Southern Africa' points out "all these roads reveal many interesting and beautiful scenes" which is why we choose to operate from this historic town.
Once the capital of the Province of Queen Adelaide, later British Kaffraria, then Ciskei and now the Eastern Cape, King William's Town and Bisho (the two are all but one) are steeped in both colonial and the recent struggle for liberation history.
