Eastern Cape tour - One can catch a plane from Port Elizabeth and fly to Durban or travel the main road in a coach like so many do. Or you can smell the wildflowers along the way; meet with local people and breath the fresh sea air. You'll definitely discover a whole new world traveling through the Eastern Cape on a tour!
Day1:
Starting at Port Elizabeth, we visit Addo Elephant Park and Salem, an 1820 settler village, before savouring the rich history of Grahamstown.
Overnight: Grahamstown
Day2:
We travel along the Queen's Road to Fort Beaufort and then to Alice where we visit Fort Hare University and Lovedale, before heading for the beautiful Kat River Valley.
Overnight: Katberg Area
Day3:
Today we visit a typical South African farm and a Bushman rock art site. In the afternoon we visit Mgwali Village where we experience true Xhosa culture and hospitality.
Overnight: Matola Private Game Reserve
Day4 and 5:
After an early morning game drive, we travel through the Transkei, visiting Nelson Mandela's birthplace, as we head for the spectacular Wild Coast where we spend two nights
Overnight: Wild Coast
Day6:
We head for Durban through the rolling hills and sugar cane fields of KwaZulu Natal where our tour ends.
