Terms and Conditions

Liability

We go out of our way to ensure all our guests have as safe and pleasant a holiday as possible. Speirs Tours cc can nevertheless not accept any liability or responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience whatsoever to any guest, to his/her luggage or other personal property that may be sustained or suffered in or during passage, journey, tour or stay in respect of any accommodation, or carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through Speirs Tours cc.

Price

All prices are quoted in South African Rand and are correct as at 1 May 2003. The price quoted is per person sharing unless otherwise specified, but is subject to alteration due to currency fluctuations, airfare increases and other tariff adjustments.

Reservations

A deposit of 25% of the total tour cost is required to confirm a booking. The full amount for the tour must be paid into our account no later than 60 days prior to the tour. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in cancellation.

Cancellation Fees

The following cancellation charges will apply:

31 days or more prior to departure   10% of full tour price

30-16 days prior to departure        50% of full tour price

15 days or less before departure    100% of full tour price

Accommodation

Accommodation is based on 2 people sharing a twin bedded room. The use of specific accommodation is subject to availability. Speirs Tours cc reserves the right to make use of alternative accommodation. This will in no way affect the price of the tour. Single accommodation is available at an extra cost on a first come first served basis.

Transportation

Spacious, air-conditioned, seven-seater minibuses with experienced driver/guides are used on tours. However, Speirs Tours cc reserves the right to operate or make use of suitable alternative vehicles where the terrain and number of guests justify the alternative. Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles, but sufficient stops will be made for guests comfort. Guests need to be aware that use is made of dirt roads, the condition of which is beyond our control.

Unscheduled Extensions or Alterations to Tours

In the unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension to the holiday caused by flight delays, bad weather, strikes or any other cause which is beyond the control of Speirs Tours cc, it is understood that the expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions, (hotel accommodation etc.), will be for the account of the guests. Speirs Tours cc accepts no liability for changes, omissions or delays before or during the course of any published tour occasioned by technical difficulties, weather conditions, strikes, communication breakdowns or any other circumstances beyond its control. Speirs Tours cc reserves the right to change or cancel any itinerary, accommodation or arrangements should conditions make it necessary. It also reserves the right to decline, accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time. Speirs Tours shall not be subject to any liability of whatsoever nature should such alterations or cancellations occur.

Passports, Visas, Vaccinations and Inoculations

The responsibility to obtain proper, current and valid passports, visas, vaccinations, inoculations and the like, where required, is that of the guests alone. The company shall not be responsible or liable for any consequence of any nature arising from the guests failing to ensure that he/she has complied with all such requirements.

Agreement

By making payment, Speirs Tours cc shall assume that the guests accepts the terms and conditions of this agreement as binding upon him/her.
